Hornet Nest found in the Wall

While preparing the install of a laundry enclosure/closet in the kitchen we found a small Hornet Nest, I suppose from last year. Not just mice have found a home in the kitchen walls, now it's Hornets too. I wonder how they got along in there..., and how to keep the hornets out.

Wow. That's amazing. Have you seen them around the house, on the outside flying around? I'm a bit territorial and would want to get them out of there...

When the new shingles are put on with tybek covering first that should make it hard for hornets/wasps. We have them from time to time. Even had a nest in the wheel well of one of our cars. I am sure the shingle installers will know how to deal with them when they pull the old shingles off. Elise
