After
Stair Runner Installation Part 1, here comes part two, the finished project...

... looks like a professional installation, doesn't it? But you'll see it has some
Do It Yourself characteristics...

... our solution to the "turn" dilemma that can simply not be solved if you only have a pre-cut/pre-edged roll of stair runner to work with...

... and here on the landing I'm sure you notice (hopefully only barely) the diagonal seam...

... we think it's perfect!

Looks great. I have been tinkering with the same idea for a while now.
That's just awesome.
That turned out much better than I was expecting. It looks great!
Hi. Nice installation. We are in RI too. Looking to install a runner in a two tiered staircase with a 180 degree turn back on a landing...so straight up, landing, then straight back the opposite direction. Fortunately we don't have any curved stairs like you, but will have two "mitered" joints to deal with in stead of one.
How did you do the miter? Cut with what?, Sealed with what? And how did you seam the two together and attach to the floor? It would be great to learn from your experience. I hope to install ours in the next week or two.
